Christmas market in Bruneck

For a very special Christmas you should come to Bruneck - a nice but small town at the foot of the famous skiing mountain Kronplatz. You will never forget!

Year by year both young and old visitors are enchanted by the Brunico Christmas market with its festive atmosphere of bright lights and the scent of pine, seductive sweetmeats, all evoking the magical anticipation of Christmas. This year once again over 35 stalls will present their charming hand-crafted wares, superb gifts and other Christmas delights.

Among the tasteful objects on sale are handmade Christmas tree decorations, wooden toys, leather and glass goods, ceramics and much more besides, with delicious mulled wine and culinary delicacies to keep up the spirits. However the market is not only there to sell things, for the focus of this year's event is on skilled handicrafts and South Tyrol's traditions, with demonstrations showing how traditional South Tyrolean products are made. This year's novelty is the rich and varied children's programme, including creative activities such as making things, drawing and fairytale telling.
